Monthly Walks + RE + Hurricane Harvey Relief

Walk on the logs!

Starting September 10, I’ll be holding FREE monthly walks + Restorative Exercise at various parks around the city. See below for schedule and locations.

Rest on a big rock under the trees!

It’ll be a chance to do many things: talk about and explore movement, get movement/body questions answered, try a little plant and animal identification, get off the flat-and-level, and (if you choose) play with balance and stability on logs and rocks, or just lay on a rock or log, and rest! I’ll be throwing in some Restorative Exercises as well. Mostly, it’s YOUR time for play and exploration!

As a benefit to the people who suffered in Hurricane Harvey (my fellow Texans!), I’m also suggesting an OPTIONAL donation, starting with the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund established by Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston.  Other areas have been affected as well, and if anyone wishes to choose another charity, looking at Charity Navigator is a good start.

Suggested donation is $10. You can donate here (state an alternative charity in the comments) or pay when you come to a walk, or donate to your choice (just let me know).

Here is the schedule (subject to change). Please RSVP by the Saturday before so I know to watch for you!
September 10 – Discovery Park, 9 – 10:30a. Meet at the Visitor’s Center.
October 15 – Magnuson Park, 9 – 10:30a. Meet at the main parking lot by the playfield.
